Our Province is ...

A most beautiful, diverse and thriving province that mixes valued traditions with controlled tasteful development and modern infrastructure. Lying alongside the clean Atlantic coast and warmed by over 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. This area is referred to as “The Jewel in the Crown” of Andalucia.

The enchanting and historical cities of Cádiz and Jerez de la Frontera bring their own distinct flavour to the province. The former is the oldest city in Europe, laced with tiny narrow bustling streets, the most fantastic fish market, a beautiful cathedral and of course the busy port area. Jerez boasts the Bodegas, famous throughout the world for its production of Premier Quality Sherry, and the amazing spectacle that is the Royal School of Equestrian Art, and the absorbing Museum of Flamenco.

The magnificent stretch of unspoiled coastline and white fine sandy beaches, including Conil, La Barrosa and Novo Sancti-Petri, require no promotion, they are spectacular in their size, natural beauty and lack of commercial exploitation.

The Sierras beckon within half an hour. Their rugged proud silouhettes cradling mountain lakes of a incredible translucent turquoise blue. Dotted among this wonderful landscape are the famous “White Villages” of Andalucia, including Medina Sidonia, Arcos de la Frontera and Zahara de la Sierra.

To add to this incredible physical scene is the widely varied cuisine, as influenced respectively by the Phoenicians; Romans and Moors (especially seafood), quality wines and sherries and of course we are the home of the music of Flamenco.

We believe absolutely that our province is a wonderful place to live permanently and also to visit for holiday.
